Dear Arnott Industries: I took my car in for major repair for the first time. As stereotypical as it may sound, this woman has never had to handle car matters. Whenever there was a problem, I went to my father. He passed away several months ago and when I started having car troubles recently, I knew I was on my own. I have a 1990 Lincoln Mark VII, which began to ride low. After doing some research on the Internet, I drew the conclusion that I needed new air suspension. I tried to read as much information as I could dissect before taking it to a mechanic for repair. Finally, I felt ready to have an intelligent discussion. I took it to a national chain. They confirmed my suspicions - I did indeed need new two air springs for the front. Their estimate was for a total of $500 ($200 per air spring and $100 for labor). I told them I would need a couple of days to review the estimate (although I had no idea what there was to review). When I took the estimate home, I noticed that it included for parts the word "Arnott" having remembered seeing Arnott Industries in my previous Internet research, I decided to find out what they would charge for parts. Your Internet price was over $100 CHEAPER than what they were going to charge. So, after speaking to your customer service person, I ordered the parts myself and took it to a different mechanic. I just picked up my car and it's working great! Instead of paying a total of $500 two install new air springs, I only paid $275 total. If my father is looking down on me, I know he is saying, "That's my girl!" Thank you Arnott for making me a wiser consumer and for helping me make my father proud. Sincerely, Nina S.
